Post subject: My experience with Fresh Insite - freshinsite.com
PostPosted: Wed Aug 05, 2009 12:40 pm
The following is my experience and review of Fresh Insite (freshinsite.com) an alleged website design, maintenance and site programmer.

I posted an ad on GetAFreelancer, a site to find website designers and programmer. Shortly after I was contact by Carl (carl@freshinsite - using the username of croguel and freshinsite09), a representation of Fresh Insite. Carl is from the Philippines and was very interested in building the site I had in mind. He provided some sample websites they had built for other clients, which appeared pleasant.

Prior to engaging in the rather large website I intended in contracting, I asked him to re-modify another website I had already operational. The change as rather small in comparison, and would be part of the design and programming of the larger website project.

Carl said he spoke with their website programmer, Anne, who said she would be able to complete the project and knew exactly what I needed. My request was rather simple, modify a glossary script from a popup to a link. I even indicated to Carl at FreshInsite what files I believed needed to be modified. For this modification or the script, Carl said it would cost $200, and I could send the funds VIA paypal to ray@freshinsite.com. We agreed that I would send 50% and the other 50% upon completion of the website script modification.

Well, the next day Carl says Anne is working on the website, but I see no changes. Then he says they can't find the file that create the popup, a javascript file. After about 10 question about how I want this website script re-done or modified, the sent them the lengthy explanation. Carl said he understood and they know what had to be done.

The next day, they could still not find how the site operated the popup and said they could not do the website script mod, but could do it manually, which is not the negotiated agreement.

Now Carl at Freshinsite does not respond, and here we are, Giving FreshInsite and Carl a negative review.

I called Carl from FreshInsite at the number listed on their website (freshinsite.com) 888-710-1222, and Carl answered. At first he would not say who it was, but when I said my name, he said he was on a Conference call since earlier (I spent 2 days trying to contact him emails and Skype), and would get back with me. Carl, you could have sent me a short message saying you were in a conference or meeting and I would have understood. But I haven't heard of too many 2 day long meetings!

Carl when you read this, I shut down the FTP access, And I want the refund. I am not longer interested in you doing any work on my websites, now or in the future. When I get the refund, I will stop posting my review of FreshInsite.

To all people reading this,

I'm sorry we don't take Blackmail lightly. We are #1 in SEO and we deserve to answer this kind of insult and the way it deserves to be responded.

We are currently forwarding this issue to the concerned legal department. Again this is BLACKMAIL and we wont give in to this.

We will address the issue. The Client can say bad things about us but sorry we believe that base on the documents that we have and the chat session it justifies that we are responding and we are working on the project.

This is just a $200 project and you get this kind of treatment. Totally unacceptable. We have people in our defense by the way who's reading this blogsite anyway......

Thanks

You can call anything you want. This is definitely not blackmail.

My opinion of your service at freshinsite.com is based on my experience with it, therefore I can write and review it all I want.

I am demanding a refund for the website service Carl, and Fresh Insite were not able to deliver and charged for.

I sent you VIA paypal $100 to get this job started, as per our agreement the second portion of these funds would be sent upon receipt of the website script service. Fresh Insite was not able to deliver.

If anything, you are stealing, robbing and illegally holding my funds.

Fresh Insite, by means of Carl, charged for a service that was not delivered. I don't even know if you ever intended on providing the script programming service you were asked to perform.

I have now sent Carl, and Ray Ramos at Fresh Insite emails with my demands for a refunds. I have not received such refund and can publicly place my dismay with your service.

Here is the update on this FreshInsite incident.

I made a claim with Paypal against Freshinsite.com and the payment I made to ray@freshinsite.com.

FreshInsite is still refusing to provide my refund for the initial deposit. Since they were going to fix a script on my website, I had given then an account with FTP access. I have since closed that account. But they had the gull to ask me to give them access again and they would work on the script issue on my site, are they crazy? I don't trust Freshinsite to do anything on my site, as far as I know they would install some program hack where something would happen to my site.

Carl from this website programming group is still ignoring me, and this other person Mitch is the one who says they are working on sending a refund. But still no refund!

My experience with FreshInsite has been a nightmare!
I have been pushed back because of meetings that they had, or changes in project management, etc. Believe it or not, after 6 months of back and forth, I still didn't have my website. Although I had everything documented in detail, giving detailed instructions, they were not able to get my website together.
After an initial 50% down payment I had to wait 6 weeks to get the first results. Carl was very eager to present them to me. Once I saw what they produced, I thought he was joking with me. The website draft was a catastrophe! Website designers.... yeah, right...
Well, I got ripped off and I just want to avoid that anyone else does!
Of course, I didn't get any money back. They actually required me to pay them even more to get what they had done up to the point when I pulled out....

my conclusion:
NEVER EVER WORK WITH FRESH INSITE!

PS: I would be happy to PM the owner's cell phone number (Ray) and any other e-mail addresses that I have from this company. Maybe someone can bring them down and stop them from re-opening again.
